Content summary

The training offers a sound introduction to Reformer training, including technique, methodology, and structured class design, from the YTTP Fundamentals to creative classes. In 40 hands on teaching hours, you learn a broad exercise repertoire, the use of props, effective cueing, and hands on techniques, complemented by observation, assisting, and a practical exam.

Prerequisites

Our Reformer training is aimed at anyone who has already completed a Mat Pilates training and is familiar with the basics of Pilates. Previous experience as a trainer is an advantage but not a requirement. What matters most is your enthusiasm for Pilates and your willingness to bring your knowledge to the next level.

Part 1

Introduction to Reformer training

Learn the technique, principles, and methodology of Reformer training. We give you an in depth understanding of the Reformer, the biomechanical foundations, and the correct equipment setup for different body needs. We practice a sequence daily and discuss it in detail.

Part 2

Exercise repertoire and creative sequences

From classical to modern exercises: learn a versatile repertoire and develop a confident sense for sequences that can be adapted to different fitness levels and training goals. You get to know our YTTP Fundamentals classes 1 to 3 and learn to teach them safely. These set sequences give you a strong start for your own teaching.

Part 3

Effective cueing and individual adjustments

Perfect your verbal instruction, hands on techniques, and methodical cueing, so you can support your participants specifically and ensure effective, safe training.

Part 4

Observation program and exam

Gather inspiration and gain experience in our YTTP studios. During and after the training, you observe 15 classes with experienced trainers, preparing you for your exam.
